When they travel to Sacramento Saturday to play the Kings, Golden State may have two key cogs back on the court. It's unclear if Green hyperextended the knee on a layup attempt or injured it colliding with a camera man on the floor.
Forward Draymond Green (left shoulder contusion) is listed as probable on Friday's injury report while guard Shaun Livingston (mid-back strain) is questionable for the contest. The Warriors called timeout and the entire team and medical staff came over to check on him. Green remained down, writing in pain for a minute, before getting up gingerly and limping to the locker room.
The soon-to-be 27-year-old Green is now in the midst of his fifth National Basketball Association season, all of which have come as a member of the Warriors. At this point, the team has yet to give an update on his status.
Already making 47 appearances for the 43-7 Warriors thus far into the 2016-2017 regular season, Green is now averaging 10.4 points, 8.4 rebounds 7.4 assists, 1.9 steals and 1.5 blocks over the course of 33.1 minutes per game. The front-runner for Defensive Player of the Year, he was recently selected for his second career All-Star Game.
