Tesla to launch operations in the UAE by 13th February

While there are now no official charging stations listed on the Tesla website, based on its entry into previous markets, the company is expected to provide a network of charging and Supercharger stations in the UAE.

Tesla is about to enter the Middle East region this month.

The first event will be held in Dubai on February 13, 2017, at the Armani Hotel situated in Burj Khalifa Tower.

The company's launch in the UAE will mark Tesla's first official presence in the Middle East. It's reported that Elon Musk will be attending the fifth edition of the World Government Summit (WGS) before the brand's official launch in the UAE, and will be one of the speakers of WGS, as confirmed by the country's Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future.

Electric-car company Tesla is expected to announce its launch in the UAE while its co-founder and chief executive Elon Musk is in Dubai next week. Tesla will also be opening up its service center in the region and has posted job vacancy for a manager and a technician for the service center.

Even with a lack of sales and service support in the region prior, many UAE residents have already been buying into the self-driving Tesla vehicles, having them imported into the country from overseas. The UAE, specifically in Dubai, is heavily focused on increasing the number of electric-powered cars on the road.

It is also now implementing a green charger initiative to establish electric vehicle charging stations across Dubai, with 100 charging stations having already been installed since 2015.
