Amidst simmering tension between the USA and Mexico over the issue of the border wall, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly would be visiting the southern neighbor this week. John Kelly has ordered his a report detailing and totaling "all sources" of US taxpayer money given to the government of Mexico over the past five years - and it's due in 30 days.

"The relationship with Mexico is phenomenal right now", said White House press secretary Sean Spicer Wednesday.

President Donald Trump has proposed the wall.

The new enforcement policies put into practice language that Mr Trump used on the campaign trail, vastly expanding the definition of "criminal aliens" and warning that such unauthorised immigrants "routinely victimise Americans", disregard the "rule of law and pose a threat" to people across the US.

The United States could pay to build the needed facilities.

The U.S. relationship with Mexico has steadily improved over the last couple of decades.

"I just hope the border wall will not affect my studies and life", she said.

"Today's rhetoric is forcing Mexicans everywhere to question the unquestionable: Did the country make a mistake 25 years ago by betting its future on North America?" asked Peter Schecter, director of the Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center at the Atlantic Council. The U.S. diplomats, however, are unlikely to support any changes that wouldn't reduce the trade deficit.

On the issue of the proposed import tax, Mexico is likely to seek clarification on what goods the USA hopes to tax. Mexico could respond by taxing certain imports from the USA, possibly sparking a trade war.

Trump repeatedly targeted Mexico during his presidential campaign, saying the country was sending rapists and drug dealers across the border and insisting that it was taking advantage of the USA through the North American Free Trade Agreement. The rest of the conversation took place in Spanish.

However, the U.S. -Mexico border wall is believed to be more like a symbol.

The PDR is a far-left party in Mexico, and Breitbart News pointed out that such politicians enjoy generous salaries while most Mexicans live in poverty.

Furthermore, according to one provision of a Department of Homeland Security directive, migrants who entered the US by crossing the US-Mexico border could be sent back to Mexico even if they are citizens of other countries.

Widespread anti-Trump protests were held in 18 cities across Mexico earlier this month.

A no go. The official states clearly, Mexico will not pay for a wall.

U.S. officials said Mr Tillerson and Mr Pena Nieto would discuss trade and ways to curb migration and drug trafficking.

The plans unveiled on Tuesday would consider nearly all undocumented immigrants subject to deportation, and includes sending those who enter the USA illegally via the southern border back to Mexico, even if they were not from there.

The Department of Homeland Security guidance to immigration agents is part of a broader border security and immigration enforcement plan in executive orders signed by President Trump. But experts say Mexico is unlikely to do that.

Where they are sent after that, he says, is up to the Mexican government.
