Tens of thousands fans have watched April and have waited for her to give birth to her fourth baby giraffe.
Even though April is a pseudo-celebrity, she does not appreciate the attention.
When April gives birth, her calf is expected to weigh roughly 150 pounds and stand 6-feet tall.
According to her keepers, April has a great appetite.
The weather also interrupted the zoo's popular Livestream. It's been watched by millions upon millions of people from around the world.
The zoo said on Monday that April is experiencing "active kicking" from her calf, and there has been a noticeable drop in her stomach. The mama giraffe "continues to progress", the zoo said - though a winter storm and more "baby kicks" may make April a bit anxious in the coming days.
The zoo said April's "back end has become significantly larger and relaxed" and "motion and pulsing in this area" has been noted and "discharge" observed. Thousands upon thousands of commenters voiced their frustration on Facebook and YouTube, and the stream was restored within an hour or so. Jordan Patch, the owner of Animal Adventure Park, told Express that April the giraffe is actually past full term. Temperatures are in the single digits in NY over the weekend, so April and her partner Oliver will be inside more.
Fifteen-year-old April is set to give birth any moment at Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville. "It does not mean just because they bred, they conceived", Patch said.
Giraffes' gestation period are longer than humans at 14 to 15 months.
"Naturally, giraffes hide signs of labor as to not alert every predator around, that they and a new calf will be vulnerable to attack", the zoo said in an update. Another visit will be made in a few hours, according to the adventure park's Facebook page.
April has gathered quite a few followers worldwide after she shot into limelight with her YouTube childbirth video.
