Both the versions of the Tata Tigor will be same with 3,992mm long, 1,677mm wide, and 1,537mm tall.

Ground clearance and the fuel tank capacity remains the same at 170mm and 35 litres respectively. Even after the extended body, Tata Motors has managed to decrease the kerb weight of the petrol-powered auto by 18kg. The petrol and diesel engines are the same as of the earlier release Tiago hatchback.

The Tigor will be available in both petrol and diesel variants - Revotron 1.2L petrol and Revotorq 1.05L diesel engine. That said, Tata said ensured to different either models visually with the Tigor getting the slightly tweaked honey mesh grille, while the rear gets a notchback-like design language. Transmission duties for the engines will be handled by a five-speed manual transmission. It also borrows the drive modes of the hatch - City and Eco.

Commenting on the occasion Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors said. Unlike most sub-4 metre cars now sold in India, the Tigor has a coupe-like rear design language which adds to a sporty and stylish character, according to Tata Motors. Tata isn't exactly known for its style quotient, but with the Tiago and now the Tigor, the company is clearly looking to make up on this front. At the rear, the "Styleback' features LED taillights and LED stop lamp strip above the rear windshield".

Sit Investment Associates Inc. raised its stake in shares of Tata Motors Limited by 3.3% in the third quarter. In the Tigor, however, it comes paired to a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment display.

The Tigor certainly looks like a head-turner and, on paper at least, equates to be nicely proportioned as well. Well ahead of the Tata Tigor's market launch, the company has started with media presentation and here are the first images of the auto.
