Cyberpunk 2077 is still a mystery, although some rumor and continuous references made by the members of CD Projekt Red.

The grant is meant to help the studio develop new technologies and ways to make the Cyberpunk 2077 universe come to life, and with the way that CD Projekt RED did something like The Witcher 3 with its own money, who knows what they'll be able to accomplish with a government grant. Now, thanks to reddit user boskee trawling through all of the official documentation regarding the grant, we've learned a few things about what the developer has planned, and what conditions have been put on it. The Polish company is now looking for partners who can help to develop elements of Seamless Multiplayer, Cinematic Feel, Animation Excellence, and City Creation, that is, the "code" names with which projects are denominated.

While we haven't gotten any real details about Cyberpunk 2077, the possibility of it releasing in the first half of 2019 at least gives us the possibility of a rough date to expect for the game's release. We know that all four projects will be completed in RedEngine 4, the next iteration of the studio's in-house RedEngine, and it is hiring a boatload of contractors in all different areas of expertise for the projects.

Among the most relevant news, we learn that the titles are in development since January 2016 and 2017, and which will be published by June 2019.

CD Projekt Red are now working on Cyberpunk 2077, a sci-fi RPG game that isn't due to release for some time, meaning that any development on The Witcher 4 is unlikely to have already started or at the very most just begun.
