A woman was killed after being shot in the head in a central Las Vegas parking lot late Sunday, according to authorities.
Witnesses say they heard gunshots before they found the woman.
The victim, in her 20s, was seen on surveillance video shopping at a Dollar Tree store prior to the shooting, police said.
Detectives plan to look over surveillance video from nearby businesses. No suspects have been identified, police said. McGrath surmised she might have been waiting for somebody.
Police do not believe this was a robbery because the woman's phone and purse were still with her.
This is the 39th homicide investigated in Clark County and the 35th investigated by Metro this year.
