Allen scored a career-high 34 points at UNLV on December 10, one day after returning to practice after being injured.

"The post ended with the hashtag, "#TheBrotherhood".

Allen's scoring average dropped from 21.6 points per game to 14.5 points per game from his sophomore to junior seasons. Allen served a one-game suspension after again tripping an opponent, and he battled nagging injuries throughout the season. Whether they were unintentional or not, there were numerous other incidents involving Allen where his limbs tripped opposing players.

"I'm a firm believer that when something feels right, you go with it", Allen said.

After Jayson Tatum, Luke Kennard and Harry Giles entered this year's draft, Allen will return as a senior to lead the team. Duke was a No. 2 seed in the NCAA tournament and was beaten in the second round by eventual Final Four team SC. I'm completely focused on helping [coach Mike Krzyzewski] and our staff lead this team to a special season. He is a career.435 shooter from the floor and.386 from three-point range.

Allen has scored 1,424 career points, which ranks 33rd on Duke's all-time scoring list.

The Duke Blue Devils lost two important players from this season's team, but arguably the team's best player will be back for his senior season. Other than Allen and possibly Jackson, Duke has four other veteran scholarship players on the roster, none of whom scored a total of 40 points previous year.

Kennard and Tatum, along with freshman Harry Giles, have declared for the National Basketball Association draft.
