We've known for a while now that he would also appear as part of the ambitious ensemble cast of Avengers: Infinity War in 2018, but now we know where the wall-crawler's path will be leading him after Infinity War.

The webslinger made his MCU debut in last year's Captain America: Civil War and is also due to appear in next year's Avengers: Infinity War.

Sony itself is making Spider-Man spinoffs themed around Venom and Silver Sable/Black Cat, but Marvel is not a partner for those films.

The news that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures would finally team up on a cinematic version of Spider-Man is still one of the biggest superhero news stories of the past decade, and this year we get to see the first Spidey film to come from that team-up: Homecoming, which will deliver Tom Holland's version of the webslinger battling the first big-screen incarnation of The Vulture (Michael Keaton).

Now Marvel CEO Kevin Feige has told The Hollywood Reporter that there are plans for Spider-Man to feature in the next Avengers film, which is due in 2019.

Spider-Man: Homecoming features an all-star cast, which includes Martin Starr of HBO's Silicon Valley fame.

Spider-Man: Homecoming premieres on July 7 and also stars Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, and Donald Glover.

The guys over at MCU Exchange have confirmed that though Marshall-Green will (initially) be one of Adrian Toomes' clean-up crew, his name is actually Jackson "Montana" Brice, who was a member of The Enforcers in the comics, and went on to take the mantle of The Shocker in the Spectacular Spider-Man animated series.

Principal filming began on Spider-Man: Homecoming in June, 2016, and apparently leading man Tom had the hots for Zendaya as soon as they met each other on set. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man.
