Samsung's Galaxy S8 is a great looking smartphone - it's also covered entirely in very scratchable glass.

In other related news, the Samsung DeX Station is now available for pre-order on the online shopping website Amazon, as well as on Samsung's official website.

That said, the sources did say that the Galaxy S8 Active will likely be an AT&T exclusive when it's released this year. On the same lines, this Galaxy S8 Active is also expected to be a tough device that can withstand more drops, impacts, etc.

Moving past a troublesome previous year, Samsung took the wraps off its much-awaited flagship devices - Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus a couple weeks ago.

Samsung is working on a new Galaxy S8 Active model now codenamed Cruiser, Samsung-tracking site SamMobile is reporting, citing sources who claim to have knowledge of the company's plans. With the Galaxy S8 featuring a radical design with its Infinity display, it will be interesting to see how Samsung adopts that, or if at all it does, into the device. The new launch provides a much needed vigor for the company's sales that had vaccum of a flagship during this time, even when it diverted all sales and marketing activities to the predecessor, Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

According to the folks at SamMobile, they have uncovered details that a Galaxy S8 active is being developed under the codename "Cruiser" with model number SM-G892A.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Pre-sale in South Korea kicked off on April 7.

The Galaxy S8 and S8+ also feature some of the most advanced types of security features. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are identical, while the Galaxy S8 Plus is a larger phone featuring a larger display and battery, but for it, it's identical to Galaxy S8. This confirms the possibility for the Samsung Galaxy X release date in later years.

The Verge said that with the various specification changes between S7 and S8, it is hard to deduce what the rugged version of Samsung Galaxy S8 would look like once it's shipped for customer delivery.
