The Xiaomi Mi6 is coming up with 6GB of RAM, 5.15-inch display as seen on the Mi 5, and with a Battery of 3350mAh.
The Mi 6 even one-ups Samsung's flagship by packing a 12-megapixel dual-lens camera, which is the same kind of camera tech you'll find on heavy hitters such as the iPhone 7 and LG G6.
Now, for the most interesting part, the base model of the Xiaomi Mi 6, which carries a massive 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at RMB 2499, which is about $363.
While the Mi 5 was the first handset to pack double-sided curved glass, Xiaomi is going a step further with the Mi 6 by offering a four-sided 3D curved glass design. An 8-megapixel camera will be available on the device's front side, most probably, and the phone will be made out of metal and glass. Compared with the last-generation Snapdragon 820, Snapdragon 835 is 35 percent smaller in package size and consumes 25 percent less power, which contributes to a longer battery life on Mi 6.
Xiaomi is selling the 64 GB Mi 6 model for 2,499 yuan ($362). A more premium version with 128GB storage and a ceramic back panel will also be sold for 2999 yuan ($435). The selfie camera is of 8MP. The Mi 6 will become available in China starting April 28th, so there is enough time for customers to decide on the storage option and the color variant they will choose. There's an under-glass fingerprint sensor on the front of the device, despite rumours that Apple has been struggling to bake Touch ID into the screen of the upcoming iPhone 8.
The presence of the Qualcomm's biggest processor of the year is the main reason we're giving the Mi 6 attention. The Mi 6 camera also features a bokeh-style photography option, in addition to 10x digital zoom, 2x lossless zoom and optical image stabilisation (OIS) technology. You'll also get to choose between A ceramic and a Silver special edition build.
Another advantage of the dual camera setup is the ability to shoot attractive portraits with out-of-focusbackgrounds. Xiaomi says an global launch will follow in select markets, but US buyers shouldn't hold their breath.
The 6GB + 64GB version is priced at RMB 2,499 ( Rs. 24,000), the 6GB + 128GB version is priced at RMB 2,899 (Rs. 27,000) and the Ceramic edition is priced at RMB 2,999 (Rs. 28,000).
