Corbyn set to fight United Kingdom 'rigged system'

It is the Conservatives, the party of privilege and the richest, versus the Labour Party, the party that is standing up for working people to improve the lives of all.

"We will no longer allow those at the top to leech off of those who bust their guts on zero hours contracts or those forced to make sacrifices to pay their mortgage or their rent". That isn't down to Jeremy Corbyn.

Why should anyone trust Theresa May?

Nicola Sturgeon is to launch the SNP's campaign for the forthcoming council elections, characterising the contest as a "clear choice" between her party and the Tories.

She said it was the "right and responsible thing" for MPs to support an early poll.

Of course, the timing of this is incredibly convenient. But when reporters put questions to Corbyn, the mood turned darker, and an ITV journalist was booed when she mentioned his poor poll ratings and asked if he represented an Islington elite. And that would lead to the loss of Theresa May's majority.

So is this why she called the General Election?

Brexit was mentioned only twice in the speech punctuated by much applause.

Mr Corbyn retorted: "We welcome the general election but this is a Prime Minister who promised there wouldn't be one, a Prime Minister who can not be trusted". This is a LABOUR MP!

"The Labour Party is bigger than one individual". J.K. Rowling, the beloved author of the Harry Potter series of books, claims to want the best for Labour. This is the kind of negative media that has put us in the mess we are in. Many of them are popular with floating voters, until they realise who is championing them. It is about the party itself. She couldn't be more wrong. Even if you can't see him as Prime Minister, he wouldn't be making all the decisions on his own.

The Tories demand the British people vote them a blank cheque at this election. "I would think that the Lib Dems could come back into fashion". "The EU is really important", said Valerie Kent, 52, a teacher who described herself as a "floating voter". UKIP offer nothing to the United Kingdom, and have no real policies.

"We can win, absolutely". Like Greens and SNP/Plaid, but it's Labour for me.

"That's why we will be bringing forward further proposals on air quality in the future - I recognise it is an issue that matters to people", she said.

"They say I don't play by the rules - their rules". Because that's the most important thing.

"In 2015 I was given 200 to one as an outside chance", he said.

Nine Labour MPs opposed the snap election as did three independents and the SDLP's Alasdair McDonnell. Forget about your hatred of Jeremy Corbyn. The National Debt is massive, the NHS in complete meltdown, Social Care failing, rising levels of inequality and poverty and a colossal mess of a Brexit.

The policies are fairly populist - free school meals funded by a Value-Added Tax hike on private school fees, and a £10 minimum wage by 2020 - and he stresses they are fully costed.

Corbyn recently said the party was considering a Land Value Tax (LVT) to replace business rates, which caused problems for the government this year when small businesses in London and the South East found they would be hit by sharp increases in tax. And that party is Labour.
