The NFL schedule released Thursday put the Vikings in Minnesota for the September 11 opener for only the second time in 10 years.

Minnesota will be featured in a home primetime game to start the 2017 campaign. It marks the second time in three seasons the Vikings will begin their season on Monday.

Technically speaking, the schedule won't be out until tonight, but Underhill simply claims to know the setup for that game a bit ahead of the release. It's the second straight year the teams have played on the holiday.

The road opponents for the Saints are the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins (in London), Los Angeles Rams, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Minnesota will be attempting to get back into the playoffs in 2017 after a disappointing 8-8 season previous year that left them out of the postseason. Of course, you can say this game will have even more meaning if Adrian Peterson were to sign with the team. The Vikings finished 2016 at 8-8 overall.
