The engine and four coaches of the 57550 Aurangabad-Hyderabad passenger train derailed between Kalgapur and Bhalki stations in Bidar district of Karnataka at 1.50am on Friday.However, the passengers escaped unhurt except for one case of minor injuries, a railway official told TOI. There were no casualties. There has been no injury to the passengers. In the mishap, the engine and three bogies slipped off the tracks into a nearby field. Railway Protection Force was deputed to take care of the security of passengers and their baggage, while other staff took care of their comfort and convenience, the railway spokesman said.

"Passengers said those who were sleeping were woken up with a jolt", said Raju Swamy, a resident of Bhalki, who had gone to the spot. All passengers are safe and have reached Hyderabad safely, the railways also said.

The senior officials of railways and disaster management rushed to the spot. Mr. Yadav ordered a high-level probe into the incident. The absence of any damage marks on them made them strongly suspect sabotage.

The Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Karnataka Police launched an investigation with the help of a canine squad. "The injured person has been admitted to a hospital", police said. The work was completed by 4pm on Thursday.
