This Sunday, as Ryan Murphy's courageous, unprecedented, and necessary bio-series comes to a close after eight explosive episodes, Bette and Joan's final years of feuding will likely be at the forefront.

According to Deadline, he said: "The next one is about Charles and Diana". "We are shooting I think in the late fall and I'm casting Charles and Diana".

Either way, this isn't Murphy's first foray into telling a controversial story and while I applaud that he is willing to reinterpret the biggest moments in modern culture with gusto, I fear he won't do it with the nuance that is required in the case of Charles and Diana.

As the successful first season of his anthology series wraps up Sunday night on FX with the finale of "Feud: Bette and Joan, " the multihyphenate producer is already prepping for the second installment, which will follow Prince Charles and Princess Diana around the time of their 1996 divorce.

The royal family may also be upset by this season of Feud because Charles and Diana's children, Prince William and Prince Harry, will also be subjected to the scrutiny of their parents' relationship all over again. The verdict of the O.J. Simpson trial was decided only two years before Princess Diana died and the families of Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman had to relive everything all over again with Murphy's interpretation of the story. Hopefully, the show will be able to figure this out without too many problems ... but time will tell. Murphy managed to delve into topics of sexism and ageism in Hollywood in an intelligent way. It was a bracing slap of, You know what? It's so hard to bring about that change that we all feel is necessary with how women are treated in our society.

No doubt, Murphy will continue these themes through Prince Charles and Diana's story.
