St. Louis Blues' Colton Parayko celebrates after scoring during the second period in Game 1 of an NHL hockey second-round playoff series against the Nashville Predators Wednesday, April 26, 2017, in St. Louis. He has five points (1 G, 4 A) in five playoff games with the Predators. Game 2 of the series will be Friday night in St. Louis.

The Predators built their 3-1 lead on a goal and two assists from defenseman P.K. Subban, the second three-point game of his playoff career.

One nifty little flip by Vernon Fiddler provided a big lift for the Nashville Predators on a rough night.

The game was paused with 18:14 remaining in the second period and the Predators holding a 1-0 lead in the first game of the series. The other came in 2010, when he had three assists in a game as a rookie with the Montreal Canadiens.

Kevin Fiala - The 20-year-old Nashville winger has just been coming into his own, but he suffered a nasty-looking injury and was stretchered off the ice after he was rammed into the boards by Blues defenceman Robert Bortuzzo.

Fiala was "alert and in stable condition", the team said in its final in-game update.

Subban then set up another power-play goal for the Predators. The Ducks didn't give up a third-period goal during their entire first-round sweep of Calgary.

Jay Bouwmeester and Alex Pietrangelo - These Blues defencemen were the only St. Louis skaters under 50% Corsi (48.3 CF%) and were on for two goals against in a 4-3 Game One loss against Nashville.

Colin Wilson and Filip Forsberg also scored for Nashville, and Pekka Rinne made 27 saves. The Blues kept the same lineup they used in Game 5 against Minnesota, meaning healthy scratches were RW Dmitrij Jaskin, C Ivan Barbashev and LW Zach Sanford.
