We know West Brom are a hard team to play against - we had a very tough game here (a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge in December).

Fabregas was the creative fulcrum of Chelsea's 3-0 win over Middlesbrough at Stamford Bridge on Monday and his assists set up goals for Diego Costa and Nemanja Matic.

And the contest was effectively over when Marcos Alonso scored at the far post via the legs of Middlesbrough goalkeeper Brad Guzan 11 minutes before the break.

The ex- FC Barcelona man also created the opener for Diego Costa, only for Cesar Azpilicueta to get the final touch before the Spain worldwide striker broke the deadlock.

Fabregas surpassed Chelsea legend Frank Lampard last month with his 103rd assist in a 4-2 victory against Southampton.

The Spain worldwide began this season's campaign outside the Chelsea first team and Fabregas acknowledged it was hard to get used to not being an integral part of Antonio Conte's plans.

"It's been a different year for me", Fabregas said.

"I must be honest, and I must be pleased for the performance, the commitment, the desire and the will of my players on the pitch. It is normal to have a lot of speculation, on me the players the coaches, we can't lose the focus, now it is very important". In this situation we showed a great will and desire to win the title.

No team have won fewer games than Middlesbrough have this season.

Cesc Fabregas shone at the heart of Chelsea's midfield in the absence of injured Footballer of the Year N'Golo Kante, directly creating the first and third goals for Costa and Matic with floated passes, and Conte had words of praise for his Spanish playmaker afterwards. "On Friday, we have an opportunity to win and to take a title".

Chris Brunt added: "We can't just roll over and let them get the result they need to win the League".

Three more points would put Chelsea out of reach of Tottenham, who face sixth-placed Manchester United on Sunday. "We've got to try and bounce back as quickly as possible".

"There are three games to go but always the most important is the next one". The fans deserve Premier League football and we have to find a team to do that.

Conte has managed to turn Chelsea back into title winners after the Blues finished tenth last season.
