Kane was traveling first class on a recent American Airlines flight when he noticed a military member flying in coach.
The selfless act was reported by Teri Truss, a flight attendant for Envoy Air, who jumped to her Twitter account to report what she witnessed on a Thursday flight. She later described how the situation unfolded in an interview with Chicago's Newsradio 105.9 FM.
"He said, 'There's a soldier on this flight, ' and I said 'Yeah, OK?'" Truss said.
"And I said, 'Yeah, OK?' And he said, 'I would like for him to sit up front, and I would like to give him my first-class seat, and I'll go to the back'". Truss later tweeted a photo of her and Kane to share what he had done, calling him a "class act".
