The Dutchman was recalled by Chelsea following a series of strong displays at the Vitality Stadium, but the versatile defender only featured on five occasions for Antonio Conte's Premier League victor, though he did step in and deputise for Gary Cahill in the FA Cup semi-final victory over Spurs last month.

Ake spent the first half of the season on loan at the Vitality Stadium making twelve appearances for the south coast club in all competitions, scoring three times while he has played five times for his parent club.

Ake told Chelsea's website: "At Bournemouth it was all about playing games".

Things could but different in the summer, though, after Ake made just one Premier League start following his return to Stamford Bridge mid-season.

Begovic, who cost Chelsea £8m when they signed him from Stoke in 2015, could be available for £12m, per The Guardian, who add that Ake will likely be the subject of a £20m opening bid from Bournemouth.

The lure of regular first-team football could appeal to both players, who have played a minor part at the Blues this season. The Bosnian is now heading towards his prime years and is more than good enough to become a first choice 'keeper at a Premier League club once again.

John Terry will also be offered £100k-a-week as Bournemouth look to add experience to their squad.
