'Baahubali 2' becomes first Indian movie to enter 1500-crore club

The film went past the worldwide record of PK at Rs. 743 crore in just six days. The movie has collected about Rs 1,227 crore in India and another Rs 275 crore overseas at the end of its three week theatrical run.

The Hindi version of Baahubali 2 respectively made Rs. 247 crores, Rs. 143.25 crores and Rs. 69.75 crores in the first three weeks at the theatres, reported Mr Adarsh.

The Hindi version of "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" has now become the highest grossing film in Bollywood and is eyeing the Rs 400 crore club, said trade expert Taran Adarsh.

The movie starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka, Tamannah Bhatia, Ramya Krishna and Nassar, has collected a whooping Rs 1,227 Cr gross in India and another Rs 275 Cr gross in overseas, taking the total to Rs 1,502 Cr.

"'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' is a one-horse race".

Yes, thats right. The producer of Bahubali series, Sobhu Yarlagadda has confirmed that the blockbuster film Baahubali will now be adapted as TV series that will transform the Indian television industry totally with its record-breaking TRPs.

The concluding half of two-part visual effects extravaganza coupled with an emotional storyline has reportedly crossed the Rs 1500 crore mark at the Box Office. This is the first time that an Indian film has managed to rake in that much money.
