Garrett's fully guaranteed four-year deal includes a team option for a fifth year and is worth an estimated $30.4 million.
So it's not a big surprise that No. 1 overall pick Myles Garrett signed his contract with the Cleveland Browns on Friday, but it's still a positive day for the organization.
Garrett signed his contract while listening to Seal's "Kiss From a Rose".
During his time as a standout at Texas A&M, the two-time All-American recorded 31 sacks, 141 tackles and seven forced fumbles.
Garrett, who is expected to help transform a Browns defense that ranked as one of the worst in the league during a miserable 1-15 season in 2016, has already turned heads from the team with an impressive showing at rookie minicamp last weekend.
The Browns now have six of their draft picks under contract: third-round defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi, fourth-round defensive Howard Wilson, fifth-round offensive lineman Rod Johnson, seventh-round kick Zane Gonzalez and seventh-round running back Matthew Dayes. Garrett was impressive last week during the club's rookie minicamp, showing off his ability to come off the edge and pressure quarterbacks.
Garrett was the sixth of the Browns' 10 draft picks to sign a contract.
