A panoramic view of the pitch invasion at the end of the final game at White Hart Lane between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, on Sunday.

As rain began to fall on Tottenham's parade their were some nervy moments but they hung on to claim a club record equalling 14th successive home win and remain unbeaten at their north London fortress all season.

The 22-year-old took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to post an image in which he is pictured alongside Spurs teammate Ben Davies in the aftermath of Sunday's finale 2-1 win against Manchester United before the bulldozers moved in at the historic venue. "There are not many better clubs to be at around the world".

One key factor that has played out in Manchester United's exit from the intense race for Europe was the consistent results of the likes of neighbors Manchester City and Arsenal, who are both rediscovering their form in the closing stages of the season.

"When you move to another area it's so hard, but now we are changing nothing because the new stadium will be in the same place as White Hart Lane and that is fantastic".

Mourinho told Sky Sports after the match: "When people say that we gamble by going for the Europa League, well we didn't gamble".

It was perhaps fitting too that Kane, the club's local favourite, proved to be the match-winner as Spurs' victory secured them second place in the Premier League. It was just our performances on them days weren't great.

"We've a very bright future, a great squad and a team that's hungry to win, to learn and to get better".

Their new home will boast a 17,000-seater "Kop" style home stand and a retractable pitch so that Spurs can also host NFL American football matches.

"We've just got to next season go out and try and win some trophies, and go into the new season as proper title contenders and players who can win trophies". "Of course there will be rumours over the summer but I'd be very surprised if most of us ain't still here next season". "We've got the team, we've got the belief, so next season hopefully it's our year".

"We have a special bond at Tottenham that you don't always get elsewhere".
