After showing off three new maps that are part of the event next week, Blizzard also teased some new skins, emotes, and voice lines across separate regional Overwatch social accounts.

Blizzard is celebrating an awesome first year for Overwatch, and is planning to launch an anniversary event on May 23. To celebrate the first anniversary of the game, Blizzard Entertainment has just announced an in-game event which will kick off on Tuesday, May 23.

You can check out the skins and new Arena maps in the gallery below, while voice lines are further down the page. The description of the new maps as Arena maps is also an interesting thing to note, as Blizzard has not widely used the term before.

While there are no detailed reports on the upcoming event and its contents, Blizzard lets the fans have a look at some of the new maps, skins, and some other new features.

"We have some ideas", game director Jeff Kaplan said (via PvP Live).

It is now unclear if all the Overwatch characters will be getting their own dancing emotes, or if only these four characters will be getting them. "So I think we would like to do it at some point".

Last but not least, Blizzard also announced another Overwatch Free Weekend which will run from May 26-29. This means that the game can be downloaded for free by interested players.

Players will also be able to level up fast, earn some loot boxes, and unlock various new customization options. "If players decide to purchase a copy of Overwatch after the free weekend, they'll get to keep any progress made during the weekend". The infamous sarcastic shrug of Gabriel Reyes, more popularly known as Reaper, in the Overwatch Uprising comic will also be making its way into the game as an emote and spray.

Hopefully, more info about the upcoming Anniversary Event will come out soon.
