Cavaliers sweep Raptors en route to Eastern Conference Finals

"Too late", said Valanciunas.

The Raptors can trade Valanciunas and hope a second-year Jakob Poeltl is ready to assume starting duties.

Tucker got the LeBron assignment nearly to himself for all of Game 4.

"Everybody's upset", said Norman Powell. "It's going to be one of those long summers for us". It's not a good feeling. "That's what's going to happen".

Thompson's indication that the National Basketball Association is "a man's league" did not sit well with James and, during that same press availability, Thompson said that "his feeling just got hurt" with regard to the soon-to-be Finals MVP. "And if we played like that and Kyle (Lowry) was back, we're talking about a very winnable game". I've gotta get better. "It was a good hard-fought game". I don't know if we're there yet. That was the result of it - a close game.

"We gained something that goes way beyond basketball".

Coach Dwane Casey also wondered what might have been. Lowry knew the Raptors' season was over after they lost Game 3 on Friday night, and he was feeling existential afterwards.

Wall had seven points, three assists and two steals during the third-quarter spree that featured eight Celtics turnovers.

"We have another level", James said after scoring 35 points in Sunday's Game 4 win that clinched Cleveland's second straight series sweep.

Serge Ibaka sank some big shots en route to his team-leading 23 points.

James had nine points in the fourth quarter.

As you might expect, Tucker would like to come back, but there are so many factors, variables, unknowns that no one, not even Tucker, knows what the future holds. "When we're playing like that, as comparative to last year, I think a lot more of the load fell on 'Bron, me and Kev, but this year, it's just really distributed well and guys are making plays on both ends of the floor". "I'm not saying it's impossible". "I wanted to be out there with my teammates and I wanted to play". So is forward Patrick Patterson. Yeah we fought tonight. "They came out and competed, took an early lead, went up 11". That's a staggering 102-point difference and truly disconcerting for the Raptors, who made 159 field goals to the Cavs' 158.

DeRozan was being sarcastic when he referenced LeBron James in a Raptors jersey. "Especially it hurts to lose like that", said the seven-foot Lithuanian who had eight points off the bench. We just picked a bad number to draw in the second round.

The Cleveland Cavaliers looked like a wreck the final two months of the season. There are decisions to be made by the Raptors' braintrust.

Cory Joseph, who started for the second straight game in place of an injured Lowry (ankle) had 20 points and 12 assists, while P.J. Tucker, who was draped all over James on the defensive end, finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Toronto will have little to no cap room plus the L.A. Clippers' first-round pick (Toronto owes its own first-round pick to Orlando) and that's it to improve this roster.

James was thinking of other numbers, however. "And whatever it takes to beat the best, that's what I've gotta do".
