The hearse did have a deceased body inside that was being transported by the funeral home.
The body was placed along the side of a rural road a few miles away from the restaurant. When they arrived at the scene, they discovered the body, still attached to the gurney.
Police said that around 7 a.m., a passerby saw a gurney with a body on the 6000 block of Dick Elliott Rd.
"This is a very rare, one-time situation here", Drew Stackhouse said.
The vehicle was transporting a body to the funeral home. That's when police say Crow and Albrecht stole it.
Around 5:30 Friday morning police responded to the McDonald's on Highway 21 in Bryan for a report of a stolen vehicle.
Both also were charged with displaying a fictitious license plate and Crow, 27, was charged with driving without a license. It marked the second time she's been arrested in the county; the first was a drug paraphernalia charge two months ago, according to court documents. Two unknown suspects then jumped in and took off in the hearse.
