According to reports, Arsenal are interested in signing Moussa Dembele from Celtic and may step up their interest if Alexis Sanchez ends up leaving the club this summer. Arsene Wenger has been sounding confident about keeping the forward but only time will tell.

Sanchez wants to leave Arsenal in order to pursue his dream of winning the Champions League.

Bayern signed Rodriguez from Real Madrid on a two-year loan deal with the option to buy last week.

But Real are stating that they unable to offer the attacker regularly game time at thee Bernabeu, and they also think that the player is a difficult man to manage.

But the intense training programme showed Wenger is more concerned with getting his players in shape for the new season, though Arsenal are still expected to field a fairly strong lineup against Bayern.

While Arsenal are no doubt desperate to keep hold of their star player, they will surely not want to risk losing him for nothing next summer. I have spoken through text and it was very positive.

Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with the Chile international. Having been knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern in three of the last five seasons, Arsenal must be utterly sick of the sight of the Germans.

"Of course [he will stay]", the Frenchman was reported as saying.

Wenger is on tour with his team in China - they face Bayern Munich in a friendly on Wednesday - and has not made contact with Sanchez since his contentious remarks, made on a Chilean radio station.

"I have made my decision, but now the decision has to be taken by Arsenal", Sanchez said.

'The main focus for us is to concentrate on the Premier League, ' said Wenger.

"We are no longer involved. That makes no sense".

Arsenal sold their best player to a title rival in 2012 when captain Robin van Persie was sold to Manchester United when he refused to extend a contract which was into its final 12 months.
