That honour goes to Romelu Lukaku. He joined for £40 million from French champions AS Monaco. Then it's Belotti. Then it Aubameyang.

Antonio Conte is desperate for a new striker to replace Diego Costa. The future of Morata has been subject to intense speculation and now latest reports in the HardTackle(via Don Balon) claim that the Gunners are ready to match Chelsea's bid for the talented Spaniard.

"We have been looking at Morata from the beginning, and he has made himself available, then complications arose between the Champions League final and the emergence of different interested teams and things have cooled since". It's clear Conte wants him replaced before August.

Today's version comes via Gianluca Di Marzio who's become too much of a 'sans filter' institution these days to be truly called "reliable" even in the low-threshold world of transfer rumors, but whatever. "Now up to Chelsea and Milan to offer 90ish millions of €..."

Meanwhile, Aubameyang and BVB are set to play AC Milan in a few hours, so he's likely to vault back on top pretty soon here as far as their striker search is concerned.

Juventus have already sold key defender Leonardo Bonucci and have no intention of selling a key element from the offensive department. Instead of waiting until the 2018 MLS season, it seems like there is more of a chance that he returns to United to join Romelu Lukaku up top as in October most of the season will still be left to play.

Of course, there's no guarantee that this means he's on his way to London.

Any potential Milan signing would provide competition for current first choice forward Carlos Bacca, who managed 13 goals and three assists in 32 Serie A appearances last season. He wants to play more.
