The 2017 MLB season has yet to come to a close (as much as the Dodgers probably wish it had), but it's never too early to take a look toward next year, with MLB and all 30 teams releasing the 2018 schedules for your frenzied consumption.

In addition, March 29 represents the earliest start to a major league season, excluding special international events.

The final day of the 2018 regular season, featuring 12 divisional games (notably including Yankees at Red Sox), is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 30.

Interleague play will feature teams from one league against clubs in the same division of the other league.

Each team has already released their schedule, so check out their Twitter accounts or team sites for more detailed info on when and where you can see your hometown nine.

Interleague Play throughout the season will feature teams from one league against clubs in the same division of the other league.

The Puerto Rico games, which will be considered home contests for the Twins, will mark the first regular-season action on the island since the Mets and Marlins held a three-game series at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in June 2010.

There will be one nationally televised game on the Thursday after the All-Star Game, and it will pit the Cardinals against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

The games will be played Monday night, Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon.

Less than 15,000 people total attended the three games.

A spokesperson for MLB said in an email Friday the availability of a sufficient number of hotel rooms in New York City was behind the choice. This is thought to be one of the first completely free standalone games in MLB history. "Montreal would have the capacity to respond to all Major League Baseball's demands".

The major takeaway here is just how damn early Opening Day is, and the fact that the season is going to last an extra few days instead of getting cut down by a couple weeks (as many claim would be best for the game). The schedule is subject to change.
