It wasn't what he was expecting for the evening, but when tour guide Jeff Napshin of Star Track Tours received notice that Playboy publisher Hugh Hefner had died on Wednesday, he knew immediately where to take his passengers. She then reflected upon that moment when he later showed her a piece of paper that he kept in his pocket with her name and a heart around it because she used to "embody the spirit [he] fantasized about".

A big chunk of Hefner's meager budget for the first issue was consumed by the pictorial: He paid a Chicago calendar maker $500 for photographs of Marilyn Monroe with "nothing but the radio on", according to The Times.

"I knew that this moment was going to come", Napshin said. He spent a reported $75,000 for it, according to the New York Daily News.

However another one of his girlfriends, Karissa Shannon, said Hugh would rather be deaf than go without.

Even when, a few years back, the magazine rebranded with a "no more nudity" edict as a way to increase the magazine's appeal to 20- and 30-something readers (who presumably did want to read it for the articles), it remained a place for men. In 1992, Hefner bought the crypt next to Monroe's at Westwood Village Memorial Park in Los Angeles.

Hefner died Wednesday of natural causes at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles at the age of 91. He had four children. He created the famous magazine Playboy in 1953.

"A prolonged erection can permanently damage the penile tissues making it difficult to get hard in the future".

In 1985 Hefner suffered a stroke that left him temporarily partially paralysed and unable to speak. With that, she was able to grab hold of a career resurgence. Eventually there were dozens of clubs as far as Japan and Jamaica and they featured the hottest entertainers of the time, such as Sammy Davis Jr and Sonny & Cher. I was the one.

"Over the course of my life, I've had more than my fair share of romantic relationships with wonderful women", Hefner said, BuzzFeed reports. "You will forever live on as an icon of epic proportions".

And like his father, Cooper is not one to shy away from controversies.
