Manchester United are keeping tabs on Valencia winger Carlos Soler.

"These are moments in which good form of the team can be decisive for the second part of the season".

According to the Telegraph's James Ducker, the club do not want to take any "unnecessary risks" with Pogba as he recovers from a hamstring injury that has kept him out of action since September 12.

United, currently second in the top-flight, trail neighbours City by eight points after 11 games.

The Portuguese boss spent heavily in the summer and attained for three of his four summer targets with Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic all arriving at Old Trafford.

Mourinho is committed to United for now. Those losses stack up to around €70m and despite their lofty league position there is an understanding that it would be financially disastrous if they cannot find a way to return to the Champions League. As a result, Mourinho may opt to sell the Brazilian to Los Che in an attempt to lower their asking price.
