The New York Giants hosted the Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium in Week 14 hoping to play the role of spoiler. That left the middle of the Giants' defense without their Pro Bowl safety on the next play and Prescott easily found tight end Jason Witten in that soft spot for a 20-yard touchdown that made it 17-10 with 7:38 left.

The teams traded field goals on their first long possessions of the game, the Cowboys going 73 yards on 16 plays to set up Bailey's 21-yard kick followed by the Giants' 17-play, 62-yard drive for Aldrick Rosas' 39-yarder. Then the Cowboys' offense hit another gear.

Durant will miss his second straight game due to a concussion.

It was another bad day for the Giants, who fell to 2-11. The fans chanted "Eli Manning" after he threw a 1-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter.

Manning didn't have a great game, a rather pedestrian 31-for-46 for 228 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.

The Cowboys had 454 total yards to the Giants' 330. The wideout was wide open after cornerback Brandon Dixon missed the tackle. That case can't be made in 2017 as Lawrence led the National Football League in sacks entering Week 14 with 13.5 and teammate David Irving having seven sacks in the eight games he's appeared in.

"Rod just did a good job of beating his guy", said Prescott of Smith, who finished with five catches for 113 yards and 47 rushing yards on six carries. Get the app and get the game. He's taken advantage of his opportunities.

"He's our quarterback right now", Spagnuolo said before the game.

In the game's final 15 minutes, Prescott completed 4-of-6 pass attempts for 158 of his 332 passing yards and two of his three touchdowns.

After having his streak of 210 consecutive starts end last week with Geno Smith taking his place against the Raiders, Manning looked much like the quarterback who had led the Giants (2-11) during their first nine losses. "He said that he was going to think about it and talk with the coaches, but his gut said that I would be the starting quarterback". That's where I want to be. He declined to mention which plays he would like to have back.
