A photo of Keita sitting out of Leipzig's training session this morning - he was sitting on a cart; it wasn't clear if he was sitting out or just taking a break - certainly fuelled the notion among Liverpool supporters that he is eager to move this month.

The two clubs agreed a €55m deal for the Guinea international to move to Anfield after the World Cup finals in Russia this summer.

With 16 goals and eight assists to date this term, he is clearly capable of holding his own as a central striker.

The 20-year-old has endured a difficult start to his Barca career.

Klopp has already acquired the £75m services of Virgil van Dijk this month but may be tempted to bring in Keita to strengthen his midfield options.

"It is our job to keep the wheels moving and momentum going". It's a deep-rooted belief he would rather build a side than buy success-so Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana are likely to help fill the Coutinho void. He was an amazing player and he did great things for Liverpool.

"The fact is he has gone now and we have to think 'What have we got that is going to get the job done?'"

Coutinho has been a scourge of City in recent seasons, scoring winners at Anfield in 2014 and '15, and being the driving force behind Liverpool's thrilling 4-1 win over City at Etihad Stadium in November 2015. It is on a 17-match unbeaten run in all competitions.

The possibility of that happening was rubbished by Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhuttl on Thursday. It would take the pressure off their transfer business in the rest of this window.

Market values for a particular player are calculated by how well they play, age, their marketability and ability to sell shirts. "That is what makes us strong".
