Philippe Coutinho's move from Liverpool to Barcelona has elicited messages of both farewell and congratulations from players across both clubs, and one of the Reds' newest additions Mohamed Salah did not let their short time together stop him from penning a tribute to the Brazilian.

The 21-year-old midfielder joined the Los Blancos from Real Betis.

As reported by by Diario Gol last week, a positive aspect for Liverpool which indicates that the move could happen is that the player would look with good eyes to sign for the Anfield club.

"In football, the reliability of this kind of rumour is difficult to evaluate".

It's not exactly a conclusive rebuttal but the message is clear, his immediate future is at Anfield.

Having had a blistering season in Switzerland with Basel, Salah moved to Chelsea in 2014 but failed to impress during his time at Stamford Bridge.

They say Liverpool have responded to Ceballos' agent looking to find the youngster a new club after a tough start to life in Madrid.

Salah picked his best moment from December: "I always try to help the team, to improve myself, so each game for me was very important".

Cedric Bakambu is set to become the most expensive African player in history when he completes his €74m transfer to Beijing Guoan.

Coutinho, Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino formed a 'Fab 4' that has helped Jurgen Klopp's side score 50 Premier League goals already this season.

The way things were barely five months ago, it is shocking to see how the tables have quickly turned.
