Mr Trump takes his first meeting of the day at 11:00 after three hours of "Executive Time", according to a White House schedule leaked to news site Axios. Mercer, together with her father and hedge fund manager Robert Mercer, were major donors to Trump's 2016 campaign.

"These are from people who just have not accepted the fact that President Trump is the United States president and I'm sorry for them in that", Pompeo, who gives Trump his regular intelligence briefings, said on "Fox News Sunday".

CIA Director Mike Pompeo said Trump was "completely fit" to lead the country.

Michael Wolff's "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House" portrays the 45th president as a leader who doesn't understand the weight of his office and whose competence is questioned by aides. These included earnings from Breitbart News, the digital publication from which Bannon stepped down on Tuesday, the data-mining firm Cambridge Analytica, the production company Glittering Steel, and the Government Accountability Institute that Bannon co-founded.

"It would be difficult to overstate Rebekah's influence in Trump world right now", a Republican fundraiser told Politico after the election.

Wolff's book quotes Bannon as saying the 2016 meeting between Trump campaign officials, including Trump Jr. and Manafort, and a Russian lawyer purportedly offering damaging information about Hillary Clinton, was "treasonous".

Wolff's book, "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House", characterized Trump as mentally unstable, inept and unprepared for the presidency.

"We will always be grateful for his contributions, and what he has helped us to accomplish", Solov said.

"Theirs was a consciously quixotic mission". They had planned an initial run of 150,000.

Steve Bannon left the Conservative news site to work on Donald Trump's campaign and his administration, but returned to Breitbart after the president fired him. Nearly 40% came from projects funded by the Mercer family.

While Mr Mercer earned the fortune, Wolff handed the purse strings for political activism to his daughter, who is the true hard-line conservative.

Reagan, a Republican who was the president from 1981-1989, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 1994 and died in 2004.

"Fire and Fury" was published Friday, days early by popular demand and despite Trump's attorneys sending the publishers a cease and desist letter.

Moore won the primary but lost to Democrat Doug Jones in December's general election after Moore was accused of sexual misconduct against teenagers. "If someone is on welfare, they have negative value".

White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders maintained last week, however, that Mr Trump's relationship with the Mercer family was "good".

"Trump's victory had, in some sense, handed the Mercers the tool with which to destroy him", Wolff writes.

Miller's interview on CNN's "State of the Union" quickly grew heated, with Miller criticizing CNN's coverage and moderator Jake Tapper accusing Miller of speaking to an audience of one: his boss.
