President Donald Trump approved the request of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (Committee) to declassify a classified memorandum provided to the Committee regarding requests by the FBI and the Department of Justice (DOJ) to place surveillance on individuals formerly associated with the Trump campaign. Yet, in early January 2017, Director Comey briefed President-elect Trump on a summary of the Steele dossier, even though it was-according to his June 2017 testimony-"salacious and unverified". "Their was no Collusion and there was no Obstruction (the word now used because, after one year of looking endlessly and finding NOTHING, collusion is dead)", President Trump wrote on Twitter. These officials, including then-Director James Comey and recently removed Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, justified the warrant requests before the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC), in part, with information generated by Christopher Steele, who was working on behalf of Hillary Clinton's campaign for the firm Fusion GPS.

If you go back and read carefully what Isikoff reported in September 2016 it appears that the CIA and the DNI (as well as the FBI) are implicated in spreading the disinformation about Trump and Russia. And it happens to people who are in high positions of power who believe that they're untouchable, who then hold in contempt people who they think are beneath them in the food chain, so to speak.

The memo is devastating. And Newsweek killed it.

The memo has been released.

Rep. Jordan also added that, given the troubling details of the FISA memo, he argued that "I think that's why we need a second special counsel". "I was expecting something that was actually damning", Vladeck said. Former FBI Director James Comey, Rod Rosenstein, then-Associate Deputy General Bruce Ohr, and more appear to have used the FBI and the DOJ as a political weapon against Donald Trump.

Republican lawmakers characterized the memo as a public service. Second, the FBI dumped him as a source in Oct. 2016 because he violated the no-media rules by speaking to Mother Jones, and should have been dumped a month earlier for speaking to Yahoo. But to spy on Page means to spy where he is.

It's always reassuring when secret eavesdropping on Americans is authorized based on opposition research and. a Yahoo News article which was also based on that same opposition research. FISA warrants must have probable cause that someone on American soil is acting as a foreign agent.

The White House declassified and House Republicans released a controversial memo Friday that prompted the judge's action. The other abuses detailed in the memo are equally horrifying.

The importance of the infamous Steele dossier is demonstrated clearly in the memo, which cites McCabe as having testified that the warrant to surveil Page would not have been approved without the politically funded opposition research.

"The FBI and the DOJ abused their surveillance powers to spy on a former Trump campaign adviser, Carter Page".

Christopher Steele was a long standing FBI "source" but was terminated as a source after telling Mother Jones reporter David Corn that he had a relationship with the FBI.

The rats will start scrambling in earnest for the lifeboats.
