The only problem is that they've added a really dumb suffix to their once clean flagship name: This year's phone will be called the LG G7 ThinQ. The company's Korean newsroom made the announcement that the new LG G7 ThinQ will arrive in the coming weeks. Now, post-MWC, we've been getting more and more details. However, today morning, we got our best and clearest look yet at the G7 ThinQ, thanks to the official press render that leaked online. However, "Raspberry Rose" and "Moroccan Blue" options will also be available in both matte and glossy finishes. The availability of the other colors may vary depending on the region and carrier.

Like the V30 S, LG is certain to bring state-of-the-art technology to the upcoming G7 ThinQ.

LG's G6 smartphone will be superseded by the G7 on May 2. At the rear panel, there is a vertically stacked dual camera setup positioned towards the center.

The image further shows four buttons at the side, two volume control buttons, one power button, and the fourth button which instantly activates the AI assistant. It'll also come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

LG has confirmed it'll unveil its initial 2018 flagship offering on May 2nd. The company says that the LG G7 ThinQ upgrades the performance and convenience of 'sympathetic AI, ' as well as enhances interoperability with other devices.

ThinQ has been a brand used for LG's home appliances that have AI functions, but it has not been applied to phones before the release last month of the LG V30S ThinQ. LG has confirmed that it will be hosting simultaneous launch events in Seoul and NY on the said date where it will take the wraps off its next flagship phone. This will be the first G series smartphone to adopt the ThinQ name, which denotes devices that utilise artificial intelligence to deliver practical, consumer benefits.
