The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is a momentum oscillator that measures the speed and change of stock price movements. The RSI was developed by J. Welles Wilder in the late 1970's. Since its inception, RSI has remained very popular with traders and investors. Investors may be watching other technical indicators such as the Williams Percent Range or Williams %R. One of the most popular time frames using RSI is the 14-day. The Williams Percent Range or Williams %R is a technical indicator that was created to measure overbought and oversold market conditions. Using the ADX with the Plus Directional Indicator (+DI) and Minus Directional Indicator (-DI) may help determine the direction of the trend as well as the overall momentum. The RSI is considered to be an internal strength indicator, not to be confused with relative strength which is compared to other stocks and indices. They may look to the 50-day or 20-day to get a better grasp of what is going on with the stock in the near-term. Wi-LAN Inc (WIN.TO)'s Williams %R presently stands at -31.25. Readings may range from 0 to -100. A reading between 0 and -20 would indicate an overbought situation. Alternately, if the indicator goes under -80, this may show the stock as being oversold.

SPDR Bloomberg Barclays Convertible Securities ETF (CWB) presently has a 14-day Commodity Channel Index (CCI) of -61.81. Typically, the CCI oscillates above and below a zero line. The Williams %R oscillates in a range from 0 to -100. A CCI closer to +100 may provide an overbought signal, and a CCI near -100 may offer an oversold signal. Although the CCI indicator was developed for commodities, it has become a popular tool for equity evaluation as well. Currently, the 200-day MA is sitting at 13.
