Every detail of this indiscriminate mass murder seemed meticulously planned.

The selection of a hotel room overlooking a music festival, days before the attack.

Police shut down busy Las Vegas Boulevard, and federal and state authorities converged on the scene. He had purchased 33 firearms in the past year alone.

One camera looked out the peephole on the suite's door.

Most of the transactions involved large funds at casinos.

Leaked photographs from inside the hotel room used by Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock in the Mandalay Bay Hotel showing his arsenal of weapons picture. But they also recognized the spirit of togetherness that the traumatic event had brought about. "Cabal op at Mandalay Bay sounds right to me".

"Heartbroken to awake to a horrific act of violence on the innocent", McRaven said in a tweet. More than 500 people were injured.

We've become a nation that sees the victims of mass shootings as statistics, not human beings. "A lot of people were shot".

Authorities have been trying to reconstruct Paddock's movements leading up to the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

Lombardo has warned that the number of dead in Las Vegas could rise.

Additional images obtained by Boston 25 show two other assault rifles, ammunition and a hammer lying on the floor. In his car, police also found ammonium nitrate, which can be used to make bombs. "This must stop and it must stop now".

Lombardo said the investigation is proceeding cautiously in case criminal charges are warranted against someone else. That's what the casino was.

Shortly after the incident, witnesses recounted the shooting, saying that it seemed like the shots would never end.

So they ran, away from the gunfire, Sonny just behind Heather, until he was felled by a bullet.

"And I remembered him as a person". She said she got over him and started doing CPR.

His movements raised the possibility he was contemplating attacks at those sites. "Andrea and I stayed in that EXACT same room last year on the 32nd floor!"

Paddock's violent transformation has mystified everyone - his brother, investigators and the families he victimized. In its claim, IS said the gunman was a recent convert, according to their news agency Amaq.

Authorities said 22 rifles and a handgun were found in Paddock's hotel room and another 18 rifles were discovered at his Mesquite home.

"Was it smart? Probably not. The whole field was just littered with things", said Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt after touring the site Monday.

'Did I do enough to help?'

Investigators are looking into whether something occurred in October 2016 that compelled him to begin purchasing weapons.

He kept the "do not disturb" sign on his door throughout his stay so no staff members would enter, an unnamed hotel worker told The New York Times.

Over the course of several days, Paddock brings in excess of 10 suitcases up to his suite, Sheriff Lombardo says. The crowd was gathered outside Mandalay Bay for a Jason Aldean country music concert.

After that point, police broke inside the room to find Paddock had killed himself. "You guys have no idea how much you have helped us get through this tough time".

On the footage one officer could be heard shouting "Get out of here!"

He also met police officers, dispatchers and others who had responded to the shooting on Sunday night, telling them: "You showed the world and the world is watching, and you showed what professionalism is all about".
